AMD confirms that a 'small batch' of Radeon RX 7900 XTX GPUs have vapor chamber issue

Its just a shame that Scott Herkelman is lying through his teeth, and the media don't pull him up on it.

In the video 3"50 seconds, he says "We have the fix, were ready to send it to you, we have units, well ship it to you right away"

But in fact AMD support hotline are still saying "No stock in warehouse, no idea when new stock is coming in."

AMD are full of dog turd in my opinion at the moment :) :)

Also for transparency, I am biased because I have a 7900 XTX which has the hot spot issue.

ALL the top tech channels are talking about this, I've even seen non-tech channels talk about it, so it's bigger than it first seems.

Don't mock your enemy for making mistakes, your mistakes are coming soon.

It's money for them. Big amounts of money.

They probably don't want to scare people, and they figure most normal people will never notice and call it in. If they do, it will probably take a while, and slow down the rush to replace so many cards at once. One thing I am curious about, are they replacing the card or just sending people new coolers. BFG just sent me a cooler once for my 8800GT instead of replacing the card.

Maybe.
Time will tell, we'll soon find out what the RMA procedure will be.
They might ask if you want the heatsink only for those who are confident enough to swap it themselves.

For everyone else, it will be a couple of weeks for a complete swap.

I wasn't talking about AMD dude.

Fact - humans love drama and beef. Sadly it is a common fact of life, hence why newspapers used to sell like mad.

So every time there is some drama or something wrong in the tech space all of the influencers rush to make a video. Why? because views = money. The more sensational the news the more drama involved and the more money you make.

It's the same reason why the same 10 tech channels all copy each other and make exactly the same videos. It's because they are whores, and whores will perform whatever act they can for the most money.

It's also why I am now subbed only to OC3D (because it is totally different to all of the others) and Gamers Nexus. But, I only watch about one out of 10 of GN videos.

Work mate of mine had to RMA his 7900XTX reference card today, Doing the most basic bit of gaming the temps would sharply rise way beyond normal temps.
