This makes me wonder if AMD are also aiming for dedicated miners, with Xilinx HPC, FPGA and SOC, it's not beyond the possibility to create a dedicated chip.

I was thinking that with some of the dsp applications and knowledge that xilinx has AMD might start going after some of the other parts of the server market, like high bandwidth interconnects etc.
