AMD Cancels 960T Retail Release

Now this is a shame. I can totally understand why AMD would choose to do this, the worst type of PC enthusiast (those who know a bit, but not enough!) can easily give these chips negative reviews if they don't unlock or overclock well.
For me, chips like this are what make AMD great. Cheap price, and if you do overclock, there's usually massive gains to be had and they represent great value for money. Even if they don't clock well, you still get a very tidy CPU for the money, which leaves more to spend on a better GFX card of course!

Trouble is though ive had soooo many people on YouTube going my cpu wont unlock, I bought a dual core and cant get anything better. Im sending it back.
They think its a given right, I mean if it was that easy would they not just send it out with all the cores already unlocked? They need to make it clear if it works your luck is in, if its not. Tough sh... um? sugar

ttl many ppl expect them to be over clocked like you say but luck and a little knowledge of what you buying helps go a very very long way to gaining a good over clock.
How ever now a days alot of chips do over clock very well with out the need of going for specific lines and no's.

ok im gonna buy a tri core cpu and hope than it unlocks to a quad.

its like buying a car that does 0-60 in 5.4 seconds then taking it back to the showroom because after fiddling with the ecu it wont do 0-60 in 5 seconds. i mean how unreal can people be. the core is locked for a reason alot of the time because its unstable. if it unlocks then you should consider yourself lucky and clap your bottom otherwise sit down shut the F up and accept that it preforms to the specifiecations on the box ho hum
