AMD 295x2 ?

I have the option of pick up a AMD 295x2 of 350 pounds is it worth it will be watercooled are should i keep hunting 980s for sli.


Though , option any info are help all is most welcome

Depends on what you use your rig for and what screen(s) it'll be driving. Also what are the rest of your specs?

I'm running games on my 4K monitor in 4K no problem with my 295X2, Just don't use any AA and you'll be fine

Indeed, It needs at least an 800W PSU with 2 x 8 pin PCI-E connectors *Not daisy chained* each capable of delivering 28 APMS for a total of 56 AMPS, Most decent single rail PSU's will do this no problem but check the PSU manufacturers site to be safe.

You'll be fine, Your PSU has a single 12v rail with a maximum of 70 AMP's

Yep, Clocks so far are stable at 1125/5650

Btw, Dice little hint regarding the Hawaii architecture (but I'm fairly sure you already know) the clocks on the cores don't mean as much as the clock of the memory So if you could reach 6Ghz...

I'll do some more tweaking later to see how high I can get
