Only problem with Amazon is they don't use DPD delivery so you won't get timed delivery slots.

They use DPD for certain items and areas now only. Hermes and Yodel also have contracts for delivery now for Amazon.

Not in my area they don't. Their service seems to be reliable though if you pay for next day you actually get it unlike a certain East Yorkshire based etailer.

Scan and Overclockers are usually £10 or even £20 cheaper from what I've been looking at lately so I can't see them taking over anytime soon. Also after we leave the EU we can actually force places like Amazon to start paying proper UK taxes and not hiding in Luxembourg.

It's a tough one though it's a bit like the local bike shops. We all want cheap prices so we buy off the internet but then complain when the local shop goes out of business and we can't get things fixed or get hands on with stuff.
