I wish more companies would do Black Friday Sales here but they don't :(

They don't really make much money from it. Last year even though they sold more inventory than ever before they still lost money because they discounted waaaay to much. That was the US as a whole not sure about other places. This year based off the early deals it's not nearly as good as last years deals. They caught on this time.

Computer shops never have sales at all the prices are they same all year around

Amazon have some nice deals but regardless of whether you put in "Ships to Australia" or not it seems to return the ones that aren't allowed to export.
Factor in shipping and you can still save a few dollars. My H100 delivered was $30 less than local - the downside was 2-3 weeks shipping.

Agreed on the sale items though. Even if they are advertised at 20% off half the time the 'original' price was never charged anyways. I remember Hardly Normal I think got in trouble about that once. Advertising 50% off but jacking the price up 100% the day before the sale... Or having sticker prices on an LG UM95 for $1999.00 so they could offer it to you for $1400.00 which was the recommended retail price...

I don't really see big discounts here, there is one graphics card they upped the price on before Black Friday to make it look like it had more of a discount lol

My pal in the USA got a 28" Asus 4k monitor for $399. I was so, so happy for him because he's had a crap time of it lately and when he finally thought he had enough the prices went up and he got screwed on his pay check for working too many hours and entering a different tax bracket.

So he's been waiting three months and saving hard.. Was a cracking deal tbh, well happy for him.

I don't usually bother with Black Friday but this time I was actually looking to buy an SSD so that was a real result. Nice bit of luck, especially considering I just got back my old Alienware for free :)

Then of course I can't help spoiling my lady. She's been after a new phone for a while as her old Blackberry Q10 is starting to creak a little.

is £439 for a 2TB Samsung 850 Evo SSD a good buy?

X2, slap them in RAID 0.
