AM2 Overkill? (Temp Rig)

This is currently being used to play games on while I wait for my 4790K chip to come, then will update when it all sorted.

Motherboard
Asus ROG Crosshair (The Originial)

CPU
AMD 64 x2 5200+ (2600MHz)

Memory 6GB
A-Data Vitesta Extreme Edition DDR2 1GB x2 (upto 1066)
OCZ Value DDR2 2GB x2 (800MHz)

GFX
Asus ROG Striker Platinum GTX760 4GB x2

PSU
Corsair RM850

Case
Corsair Obsidian 750D

Cooling
Corsair H100i

Now I built all this up last night after receiving most of the parts for my new build, but with having to wait about 2wks (Less I hope), for the i7 4790k CPU to be sent to me from Overclockers UK, I decided to use what I had, and also gives me a chance to test the parts.

So I built it all up, and the second graphics card didn't light up properly (The ROG load indicator bit), so I left it and came back to it this morning.

Having taken the card out and looked at, it appears sum1 at Asus needs a swift kick up the rear!

So out with the angled tweezers, and after a bit of persuasion I got the plug into where is should of been in the first place.

So I then put it all back together, and here is the pics of it as it currently is till I can get my i7 4790K and use the Maximus VII Hero board currently waiting for it.

So now, the question remains.... Is using a H100i and RM850 and "The Twins" on an AM2 overkill?

:D

For such a premium card it is disappointing that the fans were not connected, good thing you noticed that.

On AM2 it is quite overkill lol,you should really benchmark a bit with your current cpu and when your 4790k comes, just to see how much improvement there is.

As i always say, there is no kill quite like overkill

The fans was connected, was just the load indicator light on side that was disconnected.

There you go, bench marked lol, now can compare those results in couple of wks, should be interesting to see how much difference there will be.

this is what i call an overkill ( this is a setup that agent_x007 uses):

I have to give it to agent_x007 that is next level overkill, a ten year old processor with one of the most powerful graphics cards you can currently buy, is this a permanent system or is he doing this for fun?

Just little update, I've spoken to overclockers.co.uk, and should get my 4790k either Tuesday or Wednesday (depending on what time they get the delivery in on Monday).

So just the CPU and Asus Frontbase left to come, and I am waiting on Corsair to release the LED SP120 fans next month so get a couple of those to go push pull on the H100i, using the standard fans that are included on the top till such a time as bank will allow me to splash out on 4 more SP120's, 2 LED (replace front fans) and 2 not so much LED (replace the standard 120's that come with AIO), and a LED AF140 for the back, although depending on how well the case gets lit by the other fans, I might just use a standard AF140 instead.

I am also looking at braided cables, either doing my own, or braided extensions as only need to do ATX power and the PCI-E cables to the GFX card, as they are only 1s on show.

U guys really don't read the whole story...
Basicly : I got new GPU and I bought few things dirty cheap (ie. under 7£), so that I can play around and be Creative :)
It's not like im using it on daily basis.
I got i7 rig and that card normally is in it (see signature).

Best or scary part ?
U didn't saw anything yet :p
One of the highest levels of overkill anyone can achieve : LINK
As U can see GPU isn't even bothered enough, to use Blu-Ray clocks... in BF4
In short : THIS is the definition of CPU bottlenecking.

BTW : Pentium 4 570J isn't 10 years old... yet ;)

@YouWhat Can U fix pics in your first post ?
