Am i getting the best for my 2400 AUD?

in this case if you do not plan on future Xfire then go for a 750watt if you do then go for anything higher just not above an 850watt psu. With the cooler you want it will be fairly loud and i am not sure how effective the stryker will be at lowering the noise.

And yes get the stryker over the haf x, what other cases are around those prices that are available to you? Just curious.

corsair c70, storm trooper, corsair 650D , fractal R4 arctic w/window, fractal node 605, phantom 820 but 80$ more expensve than the rest, Switch 810, Thermaltake overseer and soprano 'New', phantom 410 129$, anetc p280 for 149$, there isnt much choice but they said i can get a case from amazon.com and if its in box condition they will build in it

Do you ever plan on watercooling? if so the switch 810 is the best case!
i own the r4 w/window, while i don't have any hardware in it yet(build not finished) i can say it was defiantly worth the money! Though for your 3slot matrix you could only have 1 and no xfire. The c70 is a populaar case on this forum so maybe worth a look? Though IMO its an ugly case and the fan grills ruuin it even more.

i have the same thoughts on it haha. the reason i was going to go for the stryker is the space, window and handle but im not planning on WC at the moment

how is the R4? have you tested the airflow?
looks like a really nice case :D

It does look nice... like i said my build isn't very complete yet, im only just turning 17 so i do not have unlimited funds but it will soon be up and running! The airflow will be ok if you take out the upper HDD bay to help unrestrict airflow. Now that i think about it, You might be able to pull off the 2 cross fired matrixs. Only bad thing is all pci slots will be taken!

Just double check the motherboards pci layout and figure out where it would be if you did choose the R4, the R4 has 7 pci slots.

Yeah i will, im only 16 so i cant get the money for a full WC setup, just going into a Cert 4 with a Uni garuantee in 2014-2015

mobo: MVF to go with matrix
graphics: asus 7970 matrix pltinum
Ram: GeIL 16gb (2x8) @ 1600 MHz
Case: Storm Stryker
PSU: XFX 750W Core 80Plus Bronze
SSD: Silicon power Velox v30 120gb
HDD: Toshiba 2tb
keyboard: G110 or razer deathstalker not ultimate

Audio: Built in supreme FX IV (think thats what it is) with my Tritton ax720 7.1 surround in the optical port, or my turtle beach earforce Z6 5.1 surround in the audio jacks.
i think thats everything
i dont have the page up but it comes to 2396$

for the build with 670SLI i have to choose between the matrix build or this

Try to get a better ssd seems like you have a no name brand! Is that without tax and the build fee?

Get what you want, if you like amd then get amd!

the build fee is only 79$ which is great as most other aussie shops charge 130
the cooler was going to be saphire x or seidon or the noctua 12
for the 670 it was going to be the freezer i30 or the hyper 212 evo

i can afford either one i just dont know which one to choose, with the 670 sli churning out the same performance as the 690 its definatly a good choice but i also really want the matrix build :(
i dont know how high the temps will be in the 670 build. but i dont really need 2 cards right now im gaming at 1080p not 1440p but the price difference is only 200 dollars

Should i throw in some sickleflow 120mm Blue LED fans they currently ship for free and cost 8$ on amazon.com. i could replace the front 2 with the Blue LED fans and put the 120mm whites at the bottom. Good idea? or not?

Turns out my order date could be tomorrow or in a few days rather than the 31st so i have to solve my GPU dilema fast :( just wish they stocked a msi 7970 or saphire 7970 but unfortunatly they dont.
In the even of a 3 screen setup would SLI'd 670s run faster than the matrix card? or perform about the same. Because i have 2, 32" Led tv's that run at 1366x768 ( i think thats the resolution ) just lying around the house not being used so i could save money on the screens atleast :)

Well of course it is, just adds more airflow! If you really want the matrix build then get it to be honest

At that resloution both cards will absolutley destroy anything you throw at it!

If your 3rd monitor is 1080, then i would safely say the sli 670s will perform better along with the other 2 screens

it just seems that with the matrix build i would be recieving alot of remarks like Overpriced and stuff haha, im getting a 23" 1080p screen for the centre as i cant go any higher on either build, so the 670s would be the better choice?

My friends are quick enough to point out floors in my build choice but one of them spent 3000$ on an alienware with a 7970m and i7 3630qm

Im just not sure about the AFOX brand of cards they seem a little unknown for my liking and there isnt much info on the temps of the afox cards either.

2:30 in the morning here but still online so i can make sure everything is set for my order.

If you plan on using the 3 screens then yes the sli 670s. Thoough make sure you have room to fit all 3! Though i do not see the point in having one 23" and two 32" screens, it will look awkward to be honest.

Stop listening to your friends as you have stated before they have little knowledge, and who cares if you buy the most expensive stuff? If you want it then get it!

Yeah i definatly want both builds :)
The benchmarks for the 670 sli are Very nice but i cant help but wonder how many games actually support SLI i know alot of the big titles do but in order to get the SLI build i have to drop the mobo and a good cpu cooler
The slot spacing on the p8z77 v is good enough isnt it? i wouldnt mind some good airflow from the cards to keep them cool if i ever upgrade at a later date i can always install a 670 or both into the family computer :D

I have screenshots of the builds so when the day comes i can just open the pictures up and start adding stuff to the cart :)

I put more thought into the matrix build than i did with the 670 sli one as i only found out that i could afford 670 sli by accident

PLE also offers the 7950 XFX dual fan black edition, which is 20$ cheaper than the 670s with xfx's custom cooler and it has never settle aswell ;)

in comparison to the sli 670s how would a 7950 xfx black edition perform against it?

I can't figure put which one it is. But it shouldn't be a problem really(the board i mean)

A single 7950? Well not very well lol
Xfire 7950s? They would pull ahead though thats because they scale better with the newer drivers, and if you are talking about the "never settle" deal where you get the 3 games free and 20% off MOH, then by all means get it! Its a fantastic deal and is worth 160$ in games :)

So what i think you were saying is that you can't(?) afford the sli 670s? If not then the 7950 is faster especially after overclocking.
