Appear to have a problem with my setup. Running all day fine, shut down to eat, fire her up again and she won't post. Board fires up, hard drives initialise, Corsair memory led's flash at me, temp on the display -40, watercooling running fine getting temp off the GPU through my EXOS. Bloody thing just won't post.

Anyone have any ideas ????

yeah can tell u just whats wrong there.

take the head of ur cpu bet there is water inside cpu kit.

usualy under the cpu. u will have to take it appart dry and start again.

just make sure there is no gaps when using seal string.

Water

You were right, I have taken it to bits and found H20 on the surface of the P4 but none under it. I have dried it out but cannot face the task of putting it together tonight.

I will let you know how it goes later.

LOl was gonna say that mate

condensation...thats how it goes all the time...if your rig freezes and doesnt post again, prolly its dead or condensation...

u may get away with it once or two but soon your board will die...

i lost two P4C800E

i had drops of water on top of the cpu

corrosion occurs in the socket area where the pin holes our and it shows up on the back of your board...

this time i am gonna be using 2 layers of seal string...grease...and neoprene ;)

I think maby we should make a p4c800-e-d obituary or something.

"She was a good board, loved by all, achived so much. The extreme fsb will be in my heart, always"

There seems to be a lot of problems lately with codensation - I for one never use any extra condensation proofing and touch wood I havent had any problems.

Your PC isnt on that, that long tho is it phill, i run mine 24/7 and it died within a week :P

Mobo dead

Found my problem, mobo is dead. I'm assuming condensation has caused this but when I stripped it down there was only a very small amount of water on the surface of the P4, none anywhere else, no sign of were it may have been either.

Still I suppose it could have been worse, could have lost my Extreme or my 9800XT.

As I am now in the market for a new mobo anthing better than the IC-7 Max 3 out there ???
