All Programs?

Hello. How do i add programs to the "All Programs" menu? I have things in "Program Files" and "Program Files x86" that do not appear in "All Programs". Is this normal and can it be changed? I like to hit the Win key and just type what i want to launch but it doesn't seem able to browse those folders, only the "All Programs" folder/thing.

Thanks,
Chris.

I'm not sure how to solve this but why don't you pin the programs you need to the start screen or the taskbar?

Add your folder/shortcut to

Code:
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

Cool thanks.
I had a look in that folder and everything appears to be a short cut. Is that right? When i install a program, which box do i need to leave checked so that it's added there automatically?

Thanks.

Some program installers don't do it at all, but most will by default or will have a check box to add it to the start menu.

To add more just right-click on the .exe in Program Files and create shortcut, the cut and copy the shortcut to the aforementioned location.

Arh so that's why! I've always unchecked the option to add it to the start menu. I thought it meant the same thing as "pin it"

Sweet, cheers fella!
