Alienware’s insane new Area-51 ALX Desktop is now available

The cases suck imo. Some1 spending ~£3k on a pc should have something stylish.

The term factory oc is a bit misplaced too. From 'the factory' the cpu is as it is if u bought it anywhere else, afaik, I'd be more comfortable with 'inhouse oc' or some flashy marketing term.

£3k u may be upset in a few weeks too. Having a partnership is one thing, but having a few weeks to boast the best performing system at that price - it had better be the best possible performing for more than that period. Months would be easier to swallow and have less crying time.

If it were £1.5k to £2k it may be more forgiveable. £3k is outrageous.

Bet u could build a pc just as-good for ~£1.5k, and have it look better.

:awhip:Very nice i love alienware pc's! i agree its a very extravagent setup with solid hardware but £3k is a bit much:nono:, not sure about the case design though although it is arguably very intuitive

Admitedly, not everyone has the knowledge or the skills (though most on these forums would have) to build there own which i suppose where there niche in the market is but just imagine the custom rig you could build for 3k :D

Its the motorised vents on the top of the case I like.

Although whats the point of them when its watercool3d....so stupid

Anyways I aint seen them vents in anybodys rig mods....someone should do it :p

I've always liked Alienware.

They are in a class fo their own.

But the pricing always kills it.

At least its not a HP Blackbird. Those things cost around £3k and still have HD3870X2s in them! :O

No-one can complain about the prices of Alienware until they've specced a Beast Computers (uk) one :p

Doesn't matter, once Dell brought them they were stuffed.
