Alienware releases two new 240Hz variable refresh rate monitors

If they go to a conventional design, non-gamer-boy stand and leave out the rgb, can we trade for 1440p and ips?

But... 1440p at 25"? If you're going to go 1440 it has to be 27" minimumjust for pixel real estate.

As for the price! WTH! $499 - $699 for a 1080p TN... I'll stick to my Asus 27" 1080p 1ms IPS for £169 spank you very much. What is with these "fashonable" companies pulling a sly one.

I actually like the design, Nice straight symmetrical lines, Shame it's only 1080P though.

Who wouldn't? It's a Dell monitor, or you would assume since Dell makes monitors and owns Alienware. And Dell monitors look really sleek, so not a surprise to me:)
It is rather expensive though... The branding is definitely inflating that price

Still don't understand why people are willing to pay $200 extra for Gsync. If everyone buys FreeSync then Nvidia will have no choice but to support it. It is open source after all!

No. Nvidia has to much market power and the Technology to prevent that from happening

Having had the chance to try out both Freesync and G-Sync simultaneously, There is a difference between both these implementations of adaptive refresh rate tech, G-sync has the upper hand ever so slightly and there are many people, No matter how small the difference, That will pay more for something that is even only slightly better at its job.

People will buy it simply because.. its alienware.
