Alienware releases 3 new laptops

What eveeryone keeps referring to is DESKTOPS! for building your own desktop alienware can rot in hell for laptops....well they can still rot in hell cause msi and asus make better and cheaper laptops but you can't build your own quite as easily.

"little crowbar separation please and I think gay men will agree"

oh yeh ignore the gay man bit lol

+1

Personally I like all of those brands but, Alienware right now does have the best 18" Gaming laptop that uses the new Sandybridge cpu. It is also the first Sandybridge I have seen with SLI and Crossfire on it so you gotta give it to alienware that they can atleast make decent laptops.

*Design decent laptops

All ya gotta do is remember what you need your system for!,on the move or stationary?,i see so many people buying laptops, yet rarely take it out of the house, now to me that just seems stupid considering you can get a much better home system for the same price these days.

I really don't see the point in paying over £1000 for a lappy just to play games on,when a desktop would be more suitable, and who really is gonna be playing games whilst on the move?,unless going to a lan party of course.

WTF is Falienware doing on OC3D?

If you want a gaming laptop get a MSI GX680/780

Or better yet just get a desktop it's as portable as a Falienware M18x

Also the fastest is made by Origin PC. Mainly due to the fact it has a i7 990x and GTX485m SLI, they also do one with Sandy Bridge so you can't really consider Alienware the premier gaming laptop manufacturer.

Asus have also launched their Rebublic of gamers range of laptops as well. I am assuming that Alienware is their main target.

I still don't get how they managed to put a desktop CPU into a laptop xD

Also the Origin PC SandyBridge Laptop would be faster than the Alienware.

Never listen to the advertisements

Its not the advo dude XD it is the fact that the alienware has 2 6970's and the Origin only had one 485 :T So I know the alienware is better

even so the price is outrageous

Really? Ok I just customized an MSIGX780 on Xoticpc.com, It would have an 2920XM processor, it can only have a gt555m video card but with only that it is at $2738 ok the alienware with the same processor but with a bigger screen and Crossfire 6970m's is $3400. If you ask me it seems like you are getting quite the deal from the alienware :I

Until the keyboard caves in after typing five sentances and the fan spins backwards and the screen artefacts coz it wasn't connected properly and the hinges break away from the main chassis and the speakers blow themselves out and the power supply degrades by 10% every time you use it and graphics chips die within a year and the list goes on. Poor build quality ruins any spec laptop

You do realize that Crossfire 6970M's compared to the GT555M would only cost around $400 more, so if you do the math the MSI does come off a little bit better value wise. The MSI will also have better sound, and better keyboard apparently.

i would rather DIAF than have an aleinware pc or laptop i think the msi and new asus laptops are a hell of alot better use the same type of spec and cost £1000 less..

as for a desktop i can build there highest speced desktop for over £5000 less than there asking... there 990x 24gb tri sli desktop with monitor keyboard etc is nearly 12k UK when i can build the same specced machine with 3x 24" 3d monitors for half that its a joke...
