Well, i would say it is below its DB rating (its quieter than 140mm fans rated at 19DB although that is some what subjective), in terms of airflow it seems pretty good, but the problem is that I can only stick on the outside of my case, on the back side of the mobo, just for the sake of providing some cool air flow to some 280 gtxs. No idea about longevity yet, and 220mm is a big thing to try to stick into a case especially at 3cm thick. On the plus side, it spins slowly enough so that if you do get a finger or wire caught, the fan stops before you break the skin or the wire.
