Never really played an MMORPG

Dont like the idea of paying for the game then paying monthly

Worth it?

I'm currently a lvl 23, lvl 20-25 is a grind as the campagin quests are a higher level. Will get back to you on how the Abyss is (PVP zone) when I hit 25.

One of meh chars hit 19 last night. I have to be fair, to this point, apart from the flying, it's a regular mmorpg.

Lots of running (even tho there is a flying mechanic, u can only do so in certain areas) - over long distances sometimes, loads of collect xx, kill xx, go see xx. Farming, harvesting, crafting, same ole same ole.

Graphics are nice - I can't say they've made great use of the cryengine, I think gamebyro would have done just as-good a job. Sure there are places where there are lots of bloom and AA, but nothing outstanding.

Gonna continue it til it's about to take the 1st payment b4 making any real judgements.

The biggest pisher is that as with most modern mmorpgs, there is a perceived end-game, which is where I personally hit the wall of attention. They give u lots of chars and servers, but with the same quests/story for each char u create for a faction, that alone is pure boredome.

After questing with 1 char, just killing mobs for a grind will be the way for my other chars.

U have to remember also that u could give me the best game in the world and I'd find faults with it.

I saw at the registration thing that u can download it, but I don't know if u get to trial it for any period. I know with the original box u enter ur info but don't get billed for a month. Some1 actually mentioned on the forum that if u don't play it for a while, it makes a note of it and allows time. Don't know how official that is, sounds good tho.

It's a nice escape from WOW if you are into MMORPGs, but playing the same 5 quest types over and over gets repetitive. One thing I noticed that Aion does well is that you can solo easier than other games. Grouping will always give you more experience since you can do the higher exp quests, but soloing is still very possible with most. I enjoyed the game. I made a level 28 ranger, but I stopped playing months ago...MMOs never hold my attention very long. Started playing Dragon Age and Mass Effect instead.

I'm 37 now, and I won't be resubbing at the end of the month, it's very boring and a endless grind. I'll maybe resub when they add some new things.

Only one instance to look forward to at endgame.

I am still playing lvl 47 ranger. Not so bad a grind IMO. I have played grindier games. IMO my legion is still kind of upcoming so I can still find groups to do instances like SR with legion so that might be the reason I still play. Lots of 50s are logging on less often too as they are quite bored theres not much to do once you hit max lvl and they cbf grinding bloods for fenris. All in all this game will keep me occupied for another two month or so.
