Agena or Penryn

Anyone have enough info on either of these chips to be able to tell me which is gonna be better?

I had originally decided on an AM2 rig in view of the future Agena support, but I've been given the impression that Agenas on AM2 might be a limited line which, even though possibly clock-for-clock the same as a Penryn, are gonna top out at 2.8 GHz or something, whereas intel's Penryn has potential clock of 3.5 Ghz or something like that? Basically trying to decide which is gonna be better long-term (obviously i' need a P35 board for a Penryn), and i will NOT be overclocking.

It's a really bad time to have to make a decision...

I would go intel, after jumping ship from amd late last year i'm loving my Q6600. Oh and just so u know penryn will be supported on some 680i boards like the EVGA one i have ;)

What EVGA board exactly do you have? Also any chance you could comment on it a bit (overclocking, build quality, performance, etc…).

Cheers
