Looking for an aftermarket cooler for my noisy XFX8800GT any recommendations. Budget about £35.

Right on the money there. That's what I've got on mine and its superb.

The Akasa Vortex might be worth a look if you fancy a cooler almost the size of the stock one.

That's fairly strange, I've seen reviews, photos etc with it fitted on and it's listed as compatible everywhere

Accellero v1 rev2 is the way forward for both of them tony £17 each so buy a pair

I've got an Akasa Vortexx blue LED on my 8800GT, needed a little bit of force but nothing dangerous. Looks good and is pretty quiet. Seems a bit cheaper than the Accelero too.

Tried to fit one on my 8800GT AlphaDog,no joy. A metal piece stopped the cooler from sitting properly.
