Advice me about a good configuration for games

Hello everyone:

I'm a newbie in this forum.
As a fan of driving simulators, I usually compete and participate in communities which hosts rFactor leagues.

However, my current computer (an HP G62 Notebook) doesn't allow me to reach the threshold of FPS I need to play without problems like interruptions, and blackscreens.

Now comes the rFactor 2 and my computer throws 9fps only playing on normal. Need at least 60 FPS (Ideally 150fps)

I need to buy a better PC, and I would like you to advise me what minimum hardware configuration should be able to run rFactor 2 or other simulators (such as Asetto Corsa, Pcars, iRacing and Also other kind of games like arma3) without having performance problems, I have very overwhelmed with this issue.

If anyone knows the game: rFactor and have a new computer (recently adquire or not), and could advise on hardware features I'll be gratefull about that. My budget is very short. :(

Thank you very much for your help. Greetings from Spain

I must admit I haven't heard of most of them, But as far as I remember Pcars is going to need a pretty good GPU card if you want high settings

I have heard a lot about rFactor, before. It's once of the most popular driving simulators in the world. If you search on internet you will find a lot of communities about rFactor. It's very popular, because, you can drive in all the circuits in the world, there are plenty of mods (Old cars, classic cars, formula one, rally...)

I think he need to build a gaming PC. The hardware requirements of rFactor 2, the version that you are worried about, are not excessively specials, although the hadware configuration of your notebook seems not be able to support so many visual effects as a modern videogame requires.

Hardware requirements rFactor 2

MINIMUM:
CPU: 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 or 2.4 GHz AMD Athlon x2
Memory: 2 GB
Video Card: nVidia 8600 GT or ATI/AMD 3850
Video Memory: 256MB
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7
DirectX: 9.0c
Storage: 4 GB

RECOMMENDED:
CPU: 3.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or 3.0 GHz AMD Athlon II x2 or better
Memory: 4 GB+
Video Card: nVidia 250 GTS or ATI/AMD 4870 or better
Video Memory: 512MB+
Operating System: Microsoft Windows Vista 64bit, Windows 7 64bit
Storage: 4 GB+

Note: 2008 C++ Runtimes SP1 required (included with installer).

Despite not seems to be specially exigent, the true is that your PC don't support that game. I really don't know why. Perhaps you need a new desktop pc better than a notebook.

Find the game with the highest recommended system requirements and build a rig sort of around there. Should help make sure everything is playable but may or may not be able to run max settings at 60fps.. let alone 150fps(which is extremely unneeded)

Hi, everybody again:

Thanks to everyone who have answered or readed my post.

The fact is that my notebook isn't too much old. My notebook hardware configuration, exceeds ideal configuration for rFactor 2, for example.

Here below, I include a external link with my netbook specs. :)

But, I can't play with that. I used to compete in championships of driving simulators. But I never could play with enough graphic resolution and reach an acceptable FPS threshold. And I really don't know why. Perhaps the cause is the Intel integrated graphic card of my notebook, that isn't enough to move heavy and modern games.

Sometimes I'm overwhelmed because I couldn't participate in a important race which requires more graphical power. (Especially when we simulated that it is raining, or we have a night race and specially when we're playing online.)

Thats my problem, I don't know what kind of minimal computer configuration and specifications would be necesary to let me play having a correct FPS rate.

@NeverBackDown: That's a good idea. I'll try to do my best and find something usefull

Thank you all.

Intel HD graphics are for non gaming purposes. You need a dedicated gpu in order to be able to produce higher framerates and higher resolution. Do you need a laptop/notebook? You make it seem as if it needs to be portable? If not then a PC will be a far greater investment for raw power.

That's what I think. I think the problem is the graphic card. Temperatures in the CPU and GPU are between 50º and 77º Celsius. So, should be that my graphic card isn't enough for gaming pourpuse as you well said.

No... Is not necesary. I don't need specially a portable PC (Notebook or gaming laptops in anyway.) I'm thinking about buying a desktop computer. I don't trust my ability to choose the right parts and the perfect configuration.

My budget is not too much big, and I have to find a gaming PC, with the minimal usefull configuration. It's difficult.

If somebody have bought a new cheap gaming pc, please pass me your configuration. I would be helpfull for me. :D
Thanks!!!
