Active Media Ups Read Speeds with Predator GT SSDs

I do wonder to myself whether these SSD with SATA2 controllers on them are a waste of money when SATA3 is on the horizon.
I mean sure nothing saturates SATA1 yet, and u'll notice they qualify all their speed claims as they're generally cache-read/writes, but equipping them with SATA2 controllers when SATA3 mobos "could" (should) be coming out in Q4, paying $350 or whatever - and suddenly it's "slow" (as the SATA3 SSD probably go 20% faster irl).
Last i5 ASUS mobo I seen was SATA2, but that doesn't mean anything as they generally make 6.
