Acer Predator XR341CKB & XR341CKA are available to Pre-order

If the freesync one had a higher refresh rate I'd have been tempted. I do love the idea of a curved, high refresh rate monitor. Especially an IPS.

I've decided, this is the monitor that will replace my 1440p Dell

I'm quite happy to invest in Freesync for now, I'll wait for a few reviews, mainly one from TFTCentral.

Didn't TFT Central already do a review on it? Correct me if I'm wrong, though. The FreeSync/G-Sync designations confuse the heck out fo me.

That monitor is a beast, and the naming (although I hate these epicly long numbers) doesnt hide it somehow

The Acer badge on it fills me with trepidation. Also there shouldn't be a difference in price between the freesync and gsync models in my opinion. Yes, there's additional processing hardware and IP rights etc, but still.

Having seen LTTs video of it, the vertical height is a little shorter than I'd have liked. Perhaps I need to see it in person or better still try it myself!

Will I pre-order it? It's a £950 Acer monitor...eh...

So you want then to cost the same when one cost more to produce... Mm not gonna happen.

It only looks short because it's so wide. But I would never spend this much on a monitor. Way to much money, have to have the GPU horsepower to run it as well which can raise the cost

One can live in hope :). They have reduced the inputs on the gsync which in theory should reduce the cost but not by that much. I suppose the gsync module and ULMB strobe backlight goes some way to justify the extra amount.

A few years ago I spent the same amount on my 30" Dell which has been great for everything and is why the Acer Predator seems a bit short in the height.

It's just Nvidia charging a pretty penny.. that's really it

I'm very tempted for the G-Sync one, although that is an insane amount of money for a monitor! Holy crap!

I'm waiting for a 4k Freesync with at least a 100hz panel and IPS.. that'll be the day. Or at the very least a 10bit TN panel.

I remember hearing I think it was on a PCPER video that for anything over 60Hz on 4K we'll need the next display port standard i.e 1.3/1.4 etc...

My dream monitor is 27", Flat, 2560x1440P, IPS with 1Ms response time and a Freesync range from 1-144 :)

Mine is a 32" curved 4k IPS with 1MS response time and a range of 9-240hz;)

LOVE to get this monitor (the Freesync one) but the price in Aus is, like everything else i guess, Ridiculous.
