Absolute best Thermal Paste for Air Cooling?

I normally use noctua nt-h1,have tried AC mx 3 and 4,all tree good stuff and nice temps.

Recent i tried xigmatek g3606,it need 3-4 days burn in before temps drop by approx 2-3c.Good temps after that.

I'm using AS5, although not on a very high overclock (4.0Ghz on an i7 2600k). I'm going to give the IC Diamond a try when I replace the TIM as it seems like a very good thermal paste.

NCIX doesn't carry it. Pretty sad, I know (also, they're WC selection is sparse at best). I may have to lobby Linus to stock it. I looked up frozencpu, the shipping is a kick in the gonads - $15 for 1st class int'l, and $22.69 for Priority Mail ($93.49 for Worldwide Expedited). Talking to Linus may be the best plan. MX-4 will be good for now, it's easily available at NCIX.

Maybe. I think you need to pay duties on anything going over the border. Shipping from the US is also why I've avoided WC (cheaper in the US, but the shipping is a kick in the nads) . How funny would it be to get arrested for something like that. I'm also like 6 or 7 hours away from the border. That is actually something I'd be proud of to have on my criminal record.

The best thermal compound is either IC Diamond or Arctic Cooling MX-4

The scene where the Narrator talks about Tyler's day job as the person who splices the movie together made me laugh. I'll watch it again and look for that when I do my Christmas build. I'll put in a Blu-Ray drive and get it on Blu-Ray. I only got it on DVD.

I decided to stick with what I knew on my new build and got another tube of AS5 to between my X6 and 212+. At 3.9ghz, 1.5vcore, ambient ~70*c, she idles @ 32*c and maxes out @ 54*c under full 6 core load. Good enough for me.

6-7*C tops. But more likely around 4-5

More than good enough for me. I'll get my hands on some soon. With those temp drops, I don't think I'll ever use anything else.

Edit: how many uses do you get per 24 carat tube (or 7 carat tube, which ever you got, I can scale it up)
