A nubish question

My memory is @1.57v and under at the moment, rated 1333Mhz with 9-9-9-24 timings @1237Mhz. I want to know if I crank it up to 1547Mhz @1.65v is it likely to be stable and is it at risk of overheating (there's no heatsink, it's that basic Corsair ram)

I dunno if it will be stable but you would definitely notice if it wasn't and even if it seems stable do some stress tests. Also temps shouldn't be a problem even without heat-spreaders, but try to direct some airflow on to the ram.

It has an excalibur above it, should be enough?

Yeah any fan would do, just to ensure the heat produced is cooled and moved away, however it won't guarantee the ram will be stable, that depends on the sticks.

Oh I know it won't, I just wanted to know if it was even worth trying. I'll give it a shot later
