A decent 2560 X 1440 27" monitor for £250

Hi fellow forumites I am looking at buying a 2560 X 1440 27 inch monitor next week so I would like to ask this amazing community here for advice, So far I have got my eyes on the Iiyama ProLite B2783QSU 27" LED 1ms Gaming Monitor for £240 my budget is £250. I would appreciate any good advice. My current GFX card is the R9 290X Vapor X 4GB

For that price you're not really going to get much better at 1440P, It's a good choice you have

Here is a 1440p 144Hz monitor for £259.99. It is TN, but it is high refresh rate and FreeSync.

That monitor is brilliant, I had it when I had a Fury X, Basically a Swift with a different logo.

The monitor you have already spotted is a great choice, I have a 27" Iiyama IPS display and can honestly say once calibrated is spot on. The advantage with the one you have mentioned is freesync, yes it's only a 70hz panel I believe but with a 290x you are not going to see many games above that. Take a look at http://forum.overclock3d.net/showthread.php?t=73812 for a run down of changing to 1440p that I wrote a couple of months back. You might find a few useful tips in the article and comments.

Otherwise I have ordered the QNIX line of monitors with PP for many of my clients that are on a tighter budget and they have been amazing to say the least. Cheap to boot.
