Hello everyone o/

I have a little dillema. Currently I am using zotac 9800gt green edition card with 512mb memory although I am not perfectly happy with it. I thought it'll perform better that it does. It also get hot as shit, when I play witcher 2 or Guild Wars 2 the temperature goes up to 95+ celsius.

I am going to buy new computer (serious rig this time), although not now, probably even in a year.

Therefore I am thinking about swapping the card with radeon 7750, but I am not sure whether its worth it. What do you think?

I've been considering 7770 too, it's not that much more expensive, but my PSU is crappy and I don't want to stress it too hard, so eventually 7770 is not an option.

Thanks alot for any help!

Although the 7750 is one of the worst cards from this generation, it is one of the cheapest. Also, I would imagine that it would still walk over your 9800GT.
The 7750 can only take a maximum of 75w from the wall, whereas the 7770 has the ability to take 150w, but I doubt it ever would.

I have just finished a new build for one of my friends, with a hd7770 and it never pulled more than 190w in furmark.Temps were fine, only 72c after 30min furmark, and the fan only hit 37%(almost inaudible).

my PSU is shitty. Im even ashamed to mention it by name :P

Oh well, but if you ask.
It's mustang 450w. It's not 80+ of course.

I was going to recommend that one, but then I took a look at the cables :(
I've recovered from the migraine now though, so tis all good.

Yeah, their Pure Power line looks a bit rubbish - the Straight Power ones are much better! Heck of a lot more expensive though, especially for modular...

Seumas: the 7750 can only pull 75w from the PCIe - it has no other power source.
However, we'd all still want you to get a better PSU - if that thing blows, it can take everything else with it.

Really? I never knew that that was what anandtech did :L

Edit : I am an idiot, It quite clearly says total system power consumption :L
