finally got my x850xt pe on monday, ive finsihed fully voltmoddin it (thanks thickbrit for the pics ;) ) , and here are my results ........

dothan 730 @ 235x12

2x512mb tcc4 ram @ 2.5-3-3-5 188mhz :( (waitin on my 2x256mb bh5 for sum 1:1 action)

untweaked windows xp sp2 os

HIS x850xt pe @ 690 / 666 - vgpu = 1.7v , vdd = 2.45v , vddq = 2.2v

jus waitin 4 a cold night now and im gonna push for 700mhz core clock :cool: as there wasnt any artifacts apart from the odd sparkle

once i get my old school bh5 ram and run 1:1 2-2-2-5 8.2k should be within reach..... does any1 kno the WR for a aircooled x850 card???

well done on your achievment where did you find the guide to volt mod it?

I doubt there is a specific record for a air cooled one more a record for the card in general , the world record for an x850xt pe is 9217 so u got a bit to go yet lol but i foudn one on a his card which is obviously air cooled as it uses teh artic cooler is 8737

9217 is the record and it was using a pentium m too @ 3.3ghz lol

yeh all done by myself, been moddin for a while now ;)

and which card do u have mate?
 
If 8K isn't already the record I would be surprised (why the hell does that spelling look so wrong?). Mine on PCIe only managed 6K so your 2K up over standard. Looks good too, what kinda fans you got pointed at those sinks?

i reckon i could probably stretch 2 8.3k , and i have a vantec tornado 92mm fan blowin on the heaksink
 
Those volts are huge on air!!!

I wouldn't let mine run that high, is there any difference between x800 and x850 in terms of volts they can take etc?

Anyways, great score, i only got around 7350 with 675/621 on a x800 on water.

Is that 1.7 the full vcore at load? what kinda load decrease do you get?

Yeah I reckon you could do it ;) Thats a nice rig and the P-Ms seems like nice little monsters. Shows how effective air cooling can be to be honest. I remember the thread before that Texas OC contest on XS and Fugger and OPP were testing their X850s and OPP got just over 9K on Triple stage Phase, which isn't much of an improvement over what you are getting.

Maybe a 120mm Delta would get a little better results (drop temps a little, push a teeny bit more!), as well as the BH-5?

load volt decrease is about 0.5v , and 1.7v is fine, 1.7v is wat is suggested on water for 24/7 use, my air coolin solution is pretty much on par with watercoolin anyways, and obviously im not runnin 1.7v 24/7

yeh ive got a 120mm delta as it happens, those results where done around 1pm 2day, so im jus waitin 4 a cool night so i can push for 700core, i kno this card can do it :D

:eek: Bugger me 700Core, that would be insane for Air, and yet oh so desirable! :D Keep those results coming. I for one hope you reach it, would be a huge achievement.

Nice going shigs,damn them dothans are fast for benching.I've been after 8k for a while now and can't quite get it.Thats quite an achievement m8.Now bang out some more benchies for team [EP-UK].Have you thought about my offer yet ?(see p.m.).
 
Excellent scores mate.

Dont forget to update mbot - keep team ep-uk ahead of the game in 05 and you can probably put some blinding scores in 2001 and 03 - AQM should be intereting also.

1.7 is easy on air for short term banchies, I ran the X800 on a AC at 1.7 short term, but couldn't get the clocks at the temps I had...

These 850's just eat the clocks you get on 800's for sure, and once you get the mem timings sorted, they really cook!

I'm trying to find a cheap X850 PE for modding myself, and I just MIGHT be running a Dothan with the Chilly1 when it's back from Fatty's palace of magic...

:D REALLY good work mate! On LN2 you'll get 800+ out of that core easy!

thanks guys, im now seriously lookin into dry ice benchin, and hopefully bring home a WR for ep-uk :D

i jus need 2 find out where i can buy dry ice here in the uk, so some help findin a source would be extremely appreciated

ive got a compressed air can here, which can freeze a heatsink down 2 about -20 / -30 so i will tryin that on my dothan over the weekend hopefully

been gettin my mobo ready
