CPU was also very good at keeping stable around the 7.4-7.5GHz mark. Will want to give this CPU another go on LN2 with a different BIOS and CPU pot since I should be able to get around a 7.8GHz Super Pi 32M stable result with it too.

Here's some more screenshots for anybody interested ;

1.35V and 7.5 ghz?!? thats awesome! but that was too with LN2 right? how high do you get it under water/air?

The voltage is wrong :( I had to turn off the proper voltage detection on CPU-Z in order to get CPU-Z to run. Real voltage is in the 1.84-1.88v region depending on the benchmark, some are as high as 1.92v I think.

It's 5.1 or 5.2GHz stable on water with around 1.45v so it's a fairly decent chip, can't remember exactly though since it's been a year and a half since it was last run on anything other than sub zero cooling :P

Nice chip you have there mate.
And i also like your ram,cas7 at 2400mhz+ is sweet.
Also still have them nice hd5970`s.

Do you have any pictures of the hardware and more info on your cooling method? I'd be interested in making this front page.

What volts are you using for your 7.4-5 GHZ overclock?

Very impressive stuff.

Yeah sure :)

So the volts I was using for the 7.4-7.5GHz overclocks were all 1.84-1.88v depending on the benchmark. One module hit a wall at this speed whereas the others were stable up to 7.7GHz on multi-threaded benchmarks which was a bit of a pain. For the PiFast result I used a voltage of 1.95v but that was also at 7.9GHz which was absolutely needed to keep it bench stable at that speed. No Super Pi runs were done as there is a way to unlock extra codesets to get the benchmark to run faster which I had forgot to do and had no time to do on the day.

The motherboard was a Crosshair Formula V (regular not -Z) and the ram was a set of Corsair Dominator GT v7.1s (2x2GB) which I actually bought off a user here about 2 years ago. Both were on regular ambient cooling, however they were a bit colder than ambient due to the cold vapour coming off the pot running onto them both. The ram was at 2500MHz 7-12-7-28 1T @1.92v for almost every benchmark and was absolutely rock solid stable at those speeds too, will hopefully get them cold too soon and see what they can do, hoping for around 2800MHz 6-10-6-28 1T.

The CPU was cooled down to -196c using LN2, and the pot I used for this particular run was a SF3D Inflection pot (not the newer EK one) and held the loads really really well, would recommend this pot to anyone who wants to get into LN2 cooling.

I will look for some pictures for you later on tonight since I have to go to football training now until 10. I think all my photos are on my phone unfortunately (Galaxy S4) but will see if I took any with my DSLR too :)

Yeah I was quite lucky that this chip just wanted to keep on going :) Got a pretty good G3258 here now that I'm going to be doing some more air cooled testing on tonight, should hopefully be good for around 6GHz stable on LN2 if I'm lucky :)

That's mad, just completely mad mate! I struggle to get 4.5 out my 8320 at ~1.55v. You sir, have a very nice chip indeed, before the turn of the 9590 came I assume?

This result was made way after the 9590 came out, not had a go at one of those yet, doubt they'll really offer anything different to the rest of the 8 core range under LN2.
