i dont no if i was expecting too much out of this card, or somethign is up with mine

i have a evga 8800gts 640mb, and some games i cant play fully maxed without SOME lag.

i cant play FEAR cranked, lost planet i get 33fps fully maxed in the benchmarks

rainbow 6 is around 30fps during gameplay

and the dirt demo cranked i dont get too many fps above 25.

whats goin on??? i play at 1680x1050

COH fully maxed i get 75fps average

CSS CRANKED 16QXAA i get 125

Sounds about right - 16xQAA @ 125 FPS @ 1680...sounds about right to me. Your X2 will be holding the card back as well remember

kk thanks

im at 2.4 right now with 333 divider, so my sticks are at ddr 400, 4 sticks

if i wana get to 2.6, with 333 divider, my ram will be at ddr 434, i tested it before. but since its value ram, i dont no if it can handle those speeds. should i increase the ram voltage? lower the timings? and how do i check if its stable?

also, for ram, is it better to have tighter timings or higher speeds, cuz if its timings, then i shouldn loosen?

Thanks!!

Darkorb, U`r doing pretty darn good with u`r setup tbh. B4 looking at the lower part of u`r profile, all things considered I`d`ve figured a 3DMark06 of 7.5k to 8k, and u`ve gotten 8.1k.

I reckon, if u changed out u`r 4x512 for 2x1g of something nice, u`ll ~possibly~ be in a position to push towards 8.5k.

I have a feeling, looking at other people`s results of the 3800x2, the unstable ceiling is above 2.7. 2.7 is achievable with a nice mobo, nice ram and some skills ala Ham/Llwyd would be able to assist in that dept. The 2x1g would benefit u in that area. I`m very impressed with u`r 434 on the 4x512, kinda gives me the feeling u might have lots of joy with 2 sticks.

If u were in the low-end C2D arena, there`s no reason why u can`t push 10k+ and there`s the difference really, a good 2k+ in performance (3DMark wize).

timings are more important than speed. If you need to, try the 133/200 divider and see if you can get the HTT speed up higher.

The X2's have more than enough bandwidth. The core speed is what you need to worry about.

i dont really wana OC my ram, cuz its value

i guess i could try 10x260 with 333 divider i got ddr 434

i could do 10x260 with 266 divider, but i dont no what i could get

when you say the 266, do you mean 133/200? If that's the case, drop it down to 1:2, and you'll have headroom up to 400mhz HTT! That's massive room to work with.
