8800 GT Overclocking

I finally had time to screw around with my current graphics card, my EVGA 8800 GT 512 MB SuperClocked. So, I made this thread so I could post my progress on achieving a safe, maximum, 24/7 stable clock.

Right now, I am at:

Core: 700

Shaders: 1744

Memory: 950

Think my best with mine was 900 core 1950 shaders and 1200 mem, was in H&H anyways and Id played with the bios aswell.

I have the 8800GT 256mb or 320mb model cant remember which one, are they over clockable is so what cooling do you use and what temps do you get ? and is it work Oc'ing with the fps you get afterwards?

hmm overclocked with some zalman cooler i had, i seem to remember getting around 60-65c underload and 35ish idle with a 750Mhz overclock on my 8800 GTS which is quite a boost from thr stock 500ish it runs at, as for fps boost its quite an old card so anything helps with the newer games mine ran metro on medium settings at 30-40 fps but that was DX9 every little helps really, last for weeks before i got my new card i got an 800ish overclock running fine but got to around 70c under load as. You should see 5-10% fps boost im guessing dependant on the game. Now its just in a pc i put toggether from old parts but its still runnin fine

I have the stock cooler, runs at about ~44-45C Idle with 100% fan speed. I applied OCZ Freeze to the GPU and Danger Den thermal pads to the memory and VRMs, which helps a good bit. My load temps with Furmark get up to about 77C, which is fine because no game will heat up your card like Furmark does. I forgot what my clocks are now (at school), but I get about 5-15% performance increase in most games.

Lastly, the card you are specifying is the 256 MB version, the 320 MB version is the G80 8800 GTS (there also was a 640 MB version, which I owned back in '07).

If you need any help, just post, I consider myself far above average in the GPU overclocking category.
