8600gts Vs N9800gtx

9800GTX, no sweat. Even doing some math the 8600's only have 32 stream processors, I believe the GTX still doubles what the 2 of them have, only downside I can think of is power requirements, 2 6pin PCI-e but then again te 2 GTS's need 1 each afaik. The 9800GTX is made on a smaller fab proceses so less waste heat and more efficient. Personally I would try for a 4850 as it is faster than theh 2 abovev for about the same price (or even an 8800GTS *shameless plug*) but thats my 2 cents

Yea i was thinking about the 4850's but my customer only has £130 tops :(

According to CustomPC they pit the 4850 against a 9800GTX+ and they are very close, but the 4850 just takes it. It is also more power efficient and everyone loves a shiney new graphics card, the 9800 is still shiney, just not AS :D

at 1920x1200 in Crysis the 9800 got an average of 11 and a min of 8 the 4850 got an average of 23, a min of 15 etc, good card for the money
