7970M driver help!

Hey guys,

I recently got a Sager NP 9170 gaming notebook with the 7970M and the only drivers I can install are the outdated OEM drivers. When I downloaded Catalyst mobility tool and ran it, the program told me that "AMD catalyst mobility cannot be downloaded due to incompatible hardware or software". The solution I've read from the official AMD site and from the rest of the interwebs is that I must rollback to the official OEM drivers. Problem is I already am at the official OEM drivers.

try uninstalling the drivers you have installed reboot and reinstall?

Yes I've tried uninstall and reinstall. The reason I want to use non-oem drivers is because I can't use catalyst control center and I want to update the drivers with the newest whenever they come out.

I say leave it until the proper drivers come out as long as it isnt causing you any problems.

when you say "non-oem drivers" what drivers are you actually referring to?
