7970, three displays

So i have dual 7970s and i have three displays (2 monitors and one tv) and i want to connect all three up and the way i want it set up is monitor 1 and TV to be a duplicated desktop and monitor 2 to have a extended desktop to it, but no matter what i do i cant seem to get all three displays on at once i can only have 2 going on and i have to turn off one of the three =/

Monitor 1 connected through DVI port

Monitor 2 connected with hdmi > minidisplay port adapter

TV connected with HDMI

any one know what im doing wrong?

That should be alright - be a little wary of it being unbranded, but it's hard to say really.
As a general product - the active adapters aren't massively reliable. My XFX one (mini-display port to DVI) has bad reviews about reliability even, and they're meant to be the best you can get get - so just be a little careful.
