Na that's cool... One sold on fleebay for 60 quid the other day and others for about 40 but ya can't go by those prices really as they vary.
As I've just sent back ma 280, I got one as a back up to cover me for a month for 30 quid. Gotta give my dads new 7900GS back in a few days ya see which cost £40 new.

That`s pretty good. XFX are doing a 7900GS or something for about £35 somewhere. Might be agp tho, can`t remember.

I've had a 7900GTO in various rigs for a couple of years and it's a pretty good card really. Quicker than an 8600 thingy I think anyway.
However I imagine it uses vastly more power than any 8*** equivalent which isn't really good news these days with everything costing more. You never realize quite how much petrol they need to drive all the electricity round

Well like I said.. Should only be for a month... Until the X2s are out.
Turned up today fully boxed with all original stuff.. Not even very dusty.
First thing was pull the heatsink off and replace the goo on the GPU with some MX2.
Back together now and will more than likely swap out the 7900GS (dads new one) with the GTO later tonight after the pub or tomorrow night.
Will decide later

I was going to say I had a 7900gto for a short while, I sold it to you didn't I?! Nice card...
Anyway I might get an X2 too

Na man... You tried to sell it to me when I first joined and was looking at an AGP upgrade but decided on a whole new machine... Went with a GTS 320MB instead.
This will either be sold in a month for about the same as it cost or I'll just keep it as a cheap but fairly powered backup. Not too good to keep and not use but not to cack so as not to be able to play anything.
Will decide when I pick up the X2
Fair play Smithy.. You lasted a little while with your not going to buy the best outlook, but you've had to cave in now
Good job too I say.. I've become the same.. Given up to an extent about caring about losing 20 - 30 quid each upgrade.

I read a very flaky source last night about a 280gx2 coming soon-ish so I might hold on a bit... There aren't any decent games out there at the moment...

Couple of decent looking games on the way soon though. Got the new Stalker pre-ordered as well as Far Cry 2.
