7800 vivo wdm problem?

Got the BFG 7800GT, as u can see V V

right, whenever i put on the WDM drivers, from the disc.. it just.. completely screws up, takes about 5 minutes to boot with a black screen for AGES, and it's TOTALY screwed... so i have to rollback with "last known good" to boot properly.. and disable it... in Device manager.

using 81.85's none beta, and i can't seem to find the right WDM drivers or whatever it is on the nVidia site, cuz theres 6800 ones or some other ones so i didn;t know which to get...

any advice chaps?

a quick google search.....

it seems that 7800 users need to use forceware 78.xx or below

give it a try and get bk to us

78's? but theres so many fixes since then.. hmm i'll try a full re-install with the wdm stuff on the cd again with 81.85 none beta's

didn't mean to cause a problem for asking, and not googling, but id looked around and couldnt find owt hence why i asked. don't mean to be trouble

I don't think Dave was slating ya mate

I reckon go for 78.05's - they work really well for me. The 81's give me all sorts ofn trouble (seems they don't like OC'd CPU's)

Its the 78.01's I have mate. Been very stable
