780 sli with asus maximus gene vi. Corsair 350D

Hello, I am noob with building pcs and I want to make my first gaming rig. I was wondering if this can be done:
2 Gtx 780 reference cards in a corsair 350d with asus maximus vi gene as motherboard.

You can - but the top card would be a little starved of air, and it wouldn't really be recommended.

What resolution are you running?

What would be an ideal scenario for 2 way sli 780s (air cooling)

You'd be better off with a full ATX board so the two cards could be spaced out more, meaning there's breathing room between them.

I wouldn't be putting SLI cards into an MATX build unless I was watercooling.
