hi all im currently running a kfa gtx 670 2gig card and im considering either selling my current 670 and going for a 690 or to sli my 670,but also in the near future im wanting to go water cooled so would it make more sense to go sli or single 690 as i would have to convince the wife again to go water after getting another card :D

Usually I would say 670 SLI but with this price of the 690 these days I would be inclined to say that if you can get some good money back from selling your current 670 then go for the 690

Get a 690... Less heat, less Power comsumption, less space needed, less trouble with most games and obviously you can call yourself "Owner of the highest high-end Card out there"

the system will only be as powerful as the weakest link.

putting monster video horsepower on a weak (less controllable) systemboard
can create a different set of issues. many others have tried the same and have
moved on to other systemboards to find the motherboard was the issue.
not a motherboard defect, just under teched for the needs.

wrapping a piece of bacon around a piece of liver doesn't make it a filet mignon.
(can't think of a good automotive analogy so a food analogy will have to do)
