Help me decide. I'm not really a gamer. Rather do more video editing, use as a media centre and plan on o/cing my DFI.

Which of these is a better bang for buck and get more juice from o/cing?

Cheers:)

If your not a gamer i would have tought you would have gotten away with somthing cheaper? 6200 for example. Video edditing is mainly CPU based i thought.

Edit: that is a overclocked 6200 with its own ram, not the dreaded TC version.

Yeah i thought about that, but worried it might bottleneck my plan for ocing or am i wrong?

BTW thanks for the response.

yea, im using a PNY GeForce6200 256mb (overclocked a considerable amount) and it runs HL2 on medium settings no problem

only thing is i had to make a custom bios for it as normal overclocking wasnt possible.

im likely to be selling it fairly soon as im buying a snazzy one

What happened to your power cut huh llwyd?

Yeah i produced a video on a Athlon XP 2200+, 512 ram and a 5700LE. Editing program i used was Premier 6.0/Pro 1.5 and the were both fine.

I really wouldn't have thought that a slower graphics card would dampen ocing of your cpu and ram though.

Ok that's cool then, as I'm planning on saving some money and getting something a bit better 6 months later.

Cheers guys

The 6200TC will take up 64-128mb of your system memory and also stop you OC'ing as much I'm afraid. Much better off with a 6600 or above chip :)
