omfg :eek: this proc looks like the fuckin 1337357 pwnage on earth!

hicookie got his hands on this spanktastic piece of equipment and is doing some testing of the proc under phasechange and on air. w00000t!

This is the kind of thing that makes me want an Intel rig. 65nm already????? WOOHOO!

I know right... I'm lookin' hard at building a second rig with one of these baddies in it!

This must mean that AMD is right around the corner with a 65nm chip as well, they won't let Intel hog the glory for too terribly wrong. I suppose I should wait for the results of the :amd: counterpart before I make any irrational decisions :)
 
AMD are reputedly a bit behind as they've only just built their new FAB's. Intel are waya ahead on production amounts so rumours are that AMD are looking at Q3 next year for 65nm :(

Bah! Oh well... Hopefully they will use this time wisely to strategize a new proc that will blow Intels 65nm procs out of the water :)

You gotta stay on top of the ball mate... We're talking about a proc that can oc to 4.5ghz on a stock intel cooler and do 28s sp1m, that's insane!

Yup it was only a matter of time before we started seeing quad-core procs on manufacturer roadmaps :) They're already using quad and eight core technology in the new game consoles so we should start seeing this converge over to the pc world pretty soon.

I for one can't wait :) I'd love to get my hands on a quad core opty, muahaha!
