600T - White Lightning

Just finished my 600T build, which interestingly enough coincided with the 600T water cooling guide from OC3D.tv. I wanted to take a moment to thank TTL, as his videos were truly an inspiration for a lot of my ideas. As you can see, bits of the Nurburgrig and White Star are both here. One of the reasons why I instantly clicked with Tom's videos is that I too love white cases and a simple clean aesthetic. This is just a partial build, as I couldn't wait for EK's 690 blocks to release before putting it all together.

Parts list:

i7 3820

4x 4GB Corsair LP Vengenace (white)

Gigabyte G1.Assassin 2 X79

Corsair AX 850

Corsair 600T

6x BitFenix Spectre Pro's

2x 128GB Crucial M4 (second was added after pics)

EVGA GTX 690

XSPC Dual Bay D5 Res (black nylon)

Alphacool VPP655 D5 Pump

Primochill 7/16" ID tubing

XSPC Raystorm

Alphacool ST30 360mm Radiator

Bitspower Barbs + Fittings

Mayhem's Pastel Green concentrate + UV Yellow Dye

I think I'll probably be transferring this to either a Shinobi XL White or a highly customized Cubitek Magic Cube AIO once the 690 blocks and Bitspower white fittings are out.

NVidia green coolant color pop with the white and black.

yeah, a square shot of the complete rig would be nice to see the whole collection.

but a great build. why the case change?

beautiful rig mate. Did you cut out the top to fit the 360 rad. Would be nice to see a few more shots of the spectre pros too as i'm considering these for my 600t

Why'd you remove some of the rubber grommets and is it just me or is the first and last image the same?

colour scheme to perfection, v v nice build

could have gone for white and green braiding on the cables but im guessing you bought the braided cables

Thank you to everyone for the compliments!

Good work, really like the colour scheme. Any pics of the rig as a whole rather than just parts?

Yeah, I double posted one of the pics rather than getting the side shot. OP edited.

I'm fairly limited with the 600T, and with a 360mm in the roof, it's really hard to get proper positive pressure while working with the natural laws of thermodynamics. As it is, I have my top fans as push/intake, while the rear and front are exhaust. Works out pretty well with the 690 right now because it exhausts air out the rear and towards the front.

If I were to add a 240mm rad to the front, then i would need to relocate my res/pump up a drive bay to make room for the rad end tank. Getting both rads in the loop while getting the tubing properly sorted is going to be a total headache. I tried test fitting it out when I was setting up this loop and was already getting frustrated.

Yep.

To be honest, I removed all of the grommets when I was cutting up the frame. When it came time to put it back together, I couldn't find the circular ones for the rear until just last night when I reorganized my office. The cable management one was oversight, as originally I was planning to mount my SSD there, and just forgot to put it back in.

I have all the tools, and I'm more than willing to braid my own fans or I/O cables. But spending 24+ hours on a whole PSU, especially a Seasonic with the double pins/wires, is not something I am willing to do. The $100 kit from Corsair makes this a no-brainer for me.

This looks really clean, great rig, everything ties in nicely and there's just enough colour. What are the white bits covering parts of the psu?

Loving the choice of colours, they go very well together and also the gtx690 looks damn awesome

Again, thanks to everyone! Really, the thanks belongs to the countless modders I've been admiring over the years, and quite a few right here on OC3D for inspiring me.

looks good but the alu bezel on the reservoir looks a bit dodgy next to the mesh

I totally agree, main part of it that I'm not happy with right now.

That's some of the white carbon fiber Di-Noc. I messed with covering whole sides and then just partial covers. This is the one I was most happy with to reflect the contrast elsewhere in the computer. Too much of one or the other looked out of place.

Also, I think I'll be skipping the EK Acrylic Block and go for this instead:
