Hey Guys,

Im going o try and keep this as short as possible.

I have an Asus 5870 v2 and was trying my hand at overclocking, I wanted to see how far I could push my card so set voltage to max on Smart Doc and started uping my clocks.

My core wont go any higher than 983 but my mem will go to 1400 and no arifacting. The problem comes in when I want to got further than 1400.

Asus Smart Doc nor MSI Afterburner wont let me go higher than 1400 on mem.

On other question I have is is it possible to go further than 1.35 volts? I really want to get my vore to the 1ghz mark but nedd just a tad more volts?

Please dont suggest anything that will void warrenty

Below are my scores on furmark benchmarking, setting and scores below:

Settings:

Time: 60000ms

Res: 1920x1080

Xtreme Buring Mode enabled

Displacement mapping enabled

Scores:

1. Core:950MHz - Mem:1375MHz = 2913 points

2. Core:965MHz - Mem:1385MHz = 2955 points

3. Core:970MHz - Mem:1390MHz = 2967 points

4. Core:975MHz - Mem:1395MHz = 2976 points

5. Core:980MHz - Mem:1400MHz = 2984 points

6. Core:983MHz - Mem:1400MHz = 2991 points

Thanks guys in advance

there is nothing to suggest that will keeo ur warrenty

if you have maxed the sliders in msi afterburner then thats awsome fella 17mhz on the core wont make a massive diff mate.

if its all stable then be happy that you have a awsome overclock

I think you have probably found the limits, pushing any further will drastically reduce its lifespan unless you are just number hunting?
