570GTX weird behaviour

I have a bit of an issue with my GTX570 (MSN TWin Frozr II). I monitor the performance with the AfterBurner (rev 2.1.0) and the card sometimes sort of "slow down". I can observe the fps in games / sometimes benchmarks to suddenly drop drasticaly and the temperature stay at about 38-40 degrees. It seems like for some reason the GPU switches off to sort of save mode or sth? When I either restart the program (benchmarks) or restart/change the location within the game it all goes back to normal. The card has only a mild overclock, I havent played with the voltage at all. In stock settings this still appear to be a case. My rig info is in my signature. It does not happen very often but I would like to know what is causing it.

Thank for all advices.

Hi. Maby the motherboard or CPU or memory needs more or less voltage. I had a similar issue and fixed it changing some of these

Hm, that would be a bit strange, since I haven't had any problems with the stability of the rig and it has been stressed with prime and also with few hours long gaming sessions. If that is the case it will be a bit difficult on P8P67M - Pro, the OC system is a bit strange.
