Ok so I have my system built and waiting at this stage:

Coolermaster HAF 912+

Gigabyte GA-X58-UD3R

Intel i7 930 D0 Stepping (Plan to OC to 4.0 - 4.2GHz)

Coolermaster V6GT

Corsair TX650W

So far I have spent £580 inc VAT & Delivery.

I have to still get storage, graphics card, memory, fans and dvd/rw and have £520 maximum to spend. I need a top end graphics card with low power consumption due to having a TX650. Please everyone bare in mind the TX650 has one 12v rail @ 52amps. I would prefer 2000MHz ram as I have heard this is best for overclocking the processor and I was personally looking at RAID but I am certainly open for suggestion. I also need a 200mm fan for the top of the case and 140mm case fan for the side. Anyway show me your thoughts please and bare in mind that the £520 budget must include the delivery and VAT.

Eww the V6gt? Your knocking on the door of nh-d14 territory

But in the mid price rage there are some better options. I'm actually curious about the Gelid that was in the Aria PC. Also the corsair A70 is something to consider for cheaper.

If you read again I already have purchased those parts, it's the hard drive, memory, graphics cards and dvdrw that I am missing and have £520 left to spend on.

Thats pretty good except maybe go for some mushkin ram will save you some money as well as theyll be a bit faster.

Lol I read it right the first time, was just a curious choice. The rest of your choices look good.

I am a bit annoyed that I ended up getting the V6GT then watching the review for it while I'm fitting the damn thing. Just to find out how damn loud it is, but i've read a lot of reviews and for air it does well and can overclock feeling comfortable its doing the job, i'll also be able to hear it doing it.

In concerns to ram the only 2000mhz ram overclockers.co.uk do is corsair dominator gt or xms3.

6GB Mushkin (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800 6-8-6-24 Redline Ridgeback - 998970

Maybe these? Can these overclock to 2000Mhz?

These are £117 including VAT and Delivery from Aria.co.uk about £60 cheaper than the Dominator GT's and from Overclockers.co.uk

Heres my bit

Using an SSD for boot. 1Tb storage. ( Believe me SSD's do increase performance )

Mushkin Ram - See the review on these babies.

The thing is I don't want to purchase an SSD for just my OS and a few programs. I want to wait, have a RAID setup for now and in a year I will get a larger capacity SSD once the prices are more realistic.

It's up to you at the end of the day

But after reading that article I will never be buying from them.

what about that aria built dominator tom just reviewed?

its in your budget and has everything your looking for and more (as far as i can tell)

ssd vs raid depends on what your doing tbh, my 500gb f3 array can kill a ssd in read and writes for big files but the small windows (and most software) files a ssd wins with its instant seek time.

Please re-read the first post, as I have already purchased the processor, motherboard, cooler, psu and case.
