5 beeps when starting pc

Hi everyone,

when I press the power button on my pc I get 5 beeps then it shuts down and tries to restart itself. I have reseated the RAM but to no avail. I've done a quick google search and it would appear that it is CPU based.

I built the computer nearly 5 years ago and haven't had any problems so I don't think it is a bent CPU pin or seating issue.

Specs:
i5-2500k @ 4.2GHz
MSI P67A-G45 (B3) Motherboard
8GB Corsair Vengeance LP DDR3 1600MHz (2x4GB)
Sapphire 7870 GHz 2GB Edition
Crucial M4 128GB SSD
Crucial M4 64GB SSD
Seagate 2TB HDD
Windows 10 Home 64bit

Any help would be greatly appreciated before I shell out on a new PC entirely. Thanks in advance

Or not sat correctly or fault on the CPU power delivery, check all cables, if its an 8 pin cpu socket be sure its an 8 pin cable not 4. Re seat the CPU to make sure its sat right and also check the motherboard socket for bent pins.

I had a similar thing a while back which turned out to be corrupted bios. I have dual bios on my board so I flicked the switch and I was good to go again. Also check your power supply and connections.
