4TB Drive

For my new rig, I went with 2xWD 4TB drives for storage.

Whislt waiting for my RAM to hopefully come today, I decided to get a head start on putting some stuff on one of the drives with my W7 HP64 bit connecting the drive via a USB drive reader.

When I go into Disk Managment it only shows up as 1677.90 GB Unallocated.

Is this correct and/or will W8 Professional 64bit allow the use of the 4 TB?

Make sure you format it using a GPT partition table and that your USB to SATA adapter supports disks of this size.

Yep, it was the USB connected device. I put it in the rig and all is good.
