Those who want movies with the very highest quality will be keen on 4K Blu-ray's better resolution, color, and dynamic range. Yet millions seem happy with streaming video, despite its shortcomings.

This is good news to me. Was starting to think of buying a 4K TV next year once the 4K tuners are fitted, but even if I don't my Dad is starting to think about a new TV so it'll be 4K for him next.

Would much rather prefer 4K Blu-rays than trying to stream it via Netflix/Prime.

Good find!

Ya streaming 4k.. freaken joke lol would take ages and that buffer sign will be seen more than the movie

Yea I agree with Shaun, this is great news. The blur on 1080p at 30fps makes my eyes bleed :)

Blu-ray plays at 1080p 24fps currently. That's why your eyes bleed:p

All movies and TV shows are ~24 fps anyway, the only movie shot higher is The Hobbit in 48fps. I doubt we will be seeing any TV shows or films in 60fps anytime soon, 1080p bluray isn't limited to 24fps it is jut the standard fps for films and TV on any format.
