As of right now it's not overclocked, simply because in the short time I had it I was unable to get a stable and acceptable overclock out of it. I was pretty disappointed with the chips overclocking headroom, I was only able to get to 4.2GHz with the hyper 212 and Z87-A. Once I got it there I didn't have time to do a proper stability test, and my friend doesn't know anything about computers.

Overall the build went together fine, I did have to swap the corsair PSU for another because of coil whine. After that it was running great. The 770 is silent, and I have the fan profile set really low on the hyper 212 since it's not overclocked. The case fans are also kept on there lowest possible setting.

Here are some pics I took before I sent it home. I actually ended up removing the HDD cage and mounting the SSD to the inside of the 5.25 bay area. Someday I'll grab some more pictures of it and give it a proper overclock.

looks good mate
that galaxy 770 has to be the best looking 770
together with the iChill GeForce GTX 770 HerculeZ X3 Ultra :)

and a little tip if you wanna improve airflow
put your ssd behind the mobo tray and remove the hdd cage

Cables could use a little more work, but nice build and colour scheme :)

Thanks! I did end up sending it home looking a lot better than it does in these shots. I took them while I was installing some software, and soon after that I did some cable managment and moved a few things around.

Thanks! I thought it was a nice looking card too. I did end up removing the HDD cage and doing a bit more cable management but I didn't get a chance to snap any pics before it went home with its owner.

I just put together something very similar to this one myself. I am imagining the few cables that are out of place in these shots being routed properly, and it makes the black/white/blue color scheme look MAHvelous. They looking to do any cable braiding or watercooling eventually?

I did end up fixing the cable management after doing a few benchmarks.

I will probably talk my friend into some cable extensions in the future, and if I can ever get enough time to properly stress test the system I might also talk him into a closed loop cooler or a big air cooler.
