460GTX Overclocking on Ubuntu 10.10

The last tool for overlocking GPU's in linux hasn't been developed since Jan 2009. It was called nvclock but I think the last card it could OC was the GT200.

You can't do it through xorg. That's just the display server.

I really don't know why you would want to do it though. Linux really isn't very graphically demanding.

I didn't know how to delete them. I thought they gotta deleted automatically because there were two, but then again, it'd make more sense to have left one. I'm playing games through wine. I tried to dual-boot without realizing Windows and Ubuntu used different partitioning systems, so I lost everything =(.

Windows and ubuntu don't use different partitioning systems mate. They both use MBR partitioning.

That's exactly where you hit your problem. As they share the partitioning system, you allowed ubuntu to take it over instead of sharing it.

Its not hard to set up a dual boot with ubuntu. There are tutorials everywhere.

I recommend this one: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WindowsDualBoot

I am a linux user and use it for everything but as I don't game much it does everything I need.

If you do a lot of gaming I would recommend you dual boot. WINE is a pain 90% of the time.

I had two partitions. I told it to use one, but it just used the whole drive.
