3770K, 4th core 6'c hotter ?

I think this is the right section ^^

Anyway using a H80 with Corsair Performance SP Push/Pull Config and my 3770K is overclocked to 4.60GHZ using 1.26 on the Vcore, Turbo, Speedstep, C1E and Spread Spectrum all turned off for a stable overclock.

But for some reason the 1 core on the 3770K is running from 5-10'c hotter than all the others.

I've made sure to seat the H80 properly and re-seated it a few times to be on the safe side but still theres a big gap in core temps even with no overclock at all.

Anyone know anything about this by chance ?

That's just what happens?
The cores always vary by a few degrees.

As long as the temps are generally ok all round you're fine.

What temps are they under load?

remount the heatsink but you cant balance them like the old days normally.

I've done this a few times already, idle temps across the 4 cores are 26 27 28 32'c.

I've reseated the heatsink, cleaned off the old tim and applied new stuff and still the exact same temps, I iz baffled.

76 while benching is fine :) my 2500k has the 3rd core 4 degrees hotter and ive re seated it so many times to clean the tim or change parts round.

Lapping FTW........
I lapped my 970 and it lowered the temps of the cooler 2 cores by 2-3c, the middle 2 cores by 1-2c and the hotter 2 cores by 0-1c, so the REVERSE of what i wanted :P went from a 6/7c spread to a 9-10c spread -_- water cooling soon tho so meh.

Well lowered the vcore to 1.24 and its game, bench stable and temps have dropped by 1-2'c, All happy ;)
Now to wait for Tom's review of the new Corsair H80/100 i coolers :)
