3750k overclock

errr...

regardless of it being enabled or not, I still couldnt push mine past 1600mhz (rated value) so it made no difference to me.

If i find some way of getting it past that sometime I'm happy to try it but for me any tighter timings or increased frequencies just resort in blue screens

I guess it's possible that you've won the lottery for your CPU, but not your DIMMs. I'd rather have it that way than the other way round, mind you.

Well funnily enough...

I bought the RAM from ARIA, got the 2 sticks in the packet, but the packet had been cut from the bottom, obviously with a knife for just the right whole size for the DIMMs to be taken out. They looked brand new so I didnt bother with an RMA or any complaints. could have potentially been a return though

Yeah, I definitely would have returned it if that had happened with me.

I normally would have, but that was like the only day i could have built the system. I dont really see the RAM as being faulty, it does run at its stated value fine, and it is the 1.35v version so dont really know what to expect anyway. I may replace it sometime, but I did buy a D14 which the super special deal ran out as I was phoning up so they were pretty good to take the £10 off, which companies like ebuyer would never do.

After exams next week I'll run some form of memtest.

Well, i say after exams, do have 2 PCs to build for mates within the next 2 weeks too so it may have to be put on hold!

Try to overvolt your ram mate but don't get passed 1.5 volts because 1155cpus don't like it !!! I believe you would be able to lower the timings a little bit but i'm not sure about frequencies !!
