PS2 started a new revolution , 360 is the same ol' Microsoft standard. Atleast Sony have tried really hard with their products , my girlfriends little brother has a 360 and tbh it looks great on a standard TV, but on a HD tv for my preference it looks terrible... Got my m8's ps3 around here and hooked it up and the difference is shocking , full 1080p 50" and the xbox was wayyy too cartoony...

God I should be more possitive!!

There's no difference in-game from the PS3 to the 360, in fact in some places the 360 looks better than the PS3, although it works both ways

Blu Ray and build quality gives the PS3 the edge imo

Don't understand why everyone who owns a 360 @ my col keeps saying this but PS3 owners shout bloody murder lol. I guess you own a PS3 aswell , I want one much more than a 360 but I am poor you see lol!! And my mates do not work for their money hehe (damn parents grrr ).

But seeing it how I've seen it I can even see the difference (and I am not into console gaming anymore)

I seriously think the PS3 has the edge when it comes to graphics, but I guess it is down to standards.

I play a lot of Xbox 360 games round my girlfriends house and then play the PS3 at a mate house, PS3 woops the 360. Everything is clearer and has that special little touch.

Thats what I'm seeing Toxicity , I guess each to their own but I did play at high skill (just below pro gaming) for around a year then got a life lol. The games are getting more and more complicated with graphics, extra features and random stuff... I don't know if anyone has noticed but why is GTA games always blury? On PC and PS2/PS3/XBOX... Might be our eyes but my mates agreed with me also, I gather just some cheap way of stopping frame rate lowering and seeing the difference lol.

But I'm glad I'm not crazy .

For GTA, they used to use a thing called trails... makes things blur, looks cool mind you.

On the PC I have never had anything but sharp sharp sharp when it comes to GTA. 32x Anti-Alias does the job.

GTA IV's style was to blur out things that don't need to be in focus. And facts are that the 360 plays GTA @ 720p whereas the PS3 only plays it at 640 or something like that. There's no discernable difference between a PS3 game @ 1080p and a 360 @ 1080p, as I said

Its no surprize to see the sales figures dropping after all the console has been out for almost 3 years now. I still enjoy mine like it was new and have therefore have no reason to switch to a PS3. I am no fan boy though, I agree with most people, the PS3 is a much better build but I just prefer the layout of Live after trying both.

i have both and tbh its just whatever you prefer really, i still prefer the ergonomics of the 360 controller to that of the ps3, but that may be because its a little bit more like the N64 controller for layout/feel in some ways.

i've never been 100% comfortable with ps2/3 controllers tbh.

however the interface/free online play/awesome store/ LACK OF credit system (i HATE that on 360) and general lack of noise (all 360's i've been near STILL sound like jets and for a console that is totally unacceptable for a console which is in its 3rd revision now (the elite))

the fact they charged £70 for a 20GB drive that you could use only 14GB of?! this is also absolutely unacceptable.

ps3 drive and be replaced with any 2.5" drive you like?! and lets you install other operating systems!

for me its ps3 all the way and bluray just puts the cherry on the top,

i'm no fanboy but damn am i glad i switched over...

Bah, this is where it bites the corporate paper-shufflers on the butt. Use these shipping figures as "sales figures" closer to release time and look at those numbers rocket. Further on down the line, relying on the same figures suddenly doesn`t look as appealing in those meetings.

If they look at the whole history of sales, which the corporate weasles will probably insist on now, the picture looks alot better I spect.

188k shipped still isn`t something to sniff at.

Afaik, the sales figures are shipped figures unmolested by return figures.

Firstly most RROD's are the xclamps fault, or just plain heat now.

I watercooled my 360 last year to quiten it down and Ive had no problems with it what so ever. I do think that MS need to get there ass in gear now with the next version because the technology is so dated. I cant see anything happening until they finaly stop arguing with sony about blu ray.

The only thing 360 has over the PS3 at the moment is Xbox Live, but tbh Sony @ Home will shoot it dead in the water, the product looks better and its free.

As a 360 owner I really do feel like its time for new buyers is up.

I might just have to look into stripping a ps3 now ready for some h20 fun!

I don't really see the point of watercooling a PS3, the cooling is excellent and they look very nice @ stock

I prefer 360 online. But PS3 is an overall better console. Better UI (in the menus) better graphics (tbh) but I still prefer the 360 controller. PS3 feels weird since it lost all that weight from the dual shock.
