2K has now released a Bioshock: The Remastered Collection comparison trailer, showcasing how the games visual have improved when moving to current generation consoles.

AFAIK no free updates for BioShock 1 if you bought the game in stores (aka Retail).

Many did back then. Not sure why they are excluded from this offer.

I redeemed both of my retail copies on Steam, though having a closer look at the video it seems they have just gone lighting and texture mad, so I'm still unsure as to whether I'd be able to play through again without noticing the low poly environment models.

Update : Seems the policy has changed, and all PC versions of BioShock I and II can be upgraded - the non-steam versions with a somewhat different process where you have to prove your purchase / ownership.

I got my new Steam Code though 2K support. Nice guys there.
